Course Information

The QA Level 3 Award in HACCP for Food Manufacturing (RQF) is an accredited, regulated and quality assured qualification that is recognised throughout the UK. This comprehensive 3-day course has been designed to educate individuals in the development, implementation, maintenance and review of HACCP based food safety management procedures.

This qualification is for managers and supervisors that are responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of HACCP based food safety management procedures in a food manufacturing environment. It will provide them with the knowledge needed to be part of the HACCP team in a food manufacturing or similar environment. It may also be suitable for owners and managers of smaller food businesses to help develop their knowledge of HACCP based food safety management procedures.

Course Duration

The HACCP for Food Manufacturing course that we deliver has a Total Qualification Time (TQT) requirement of 30 hours. The maximum period to achieve this qualification (including any referrals) is 10 weeks.

Assessment & Certification

Course assessment includes:

  • 1 x Theory assessment (Multiple Choice Question Paper).

Upon successful completion of this course individuals will receive a QA Level 3 Award in HACCP for Food Manufacturing (RQF) printed certificate as well as a credit-card style license. This qualification is refreshed every 3 years from date of certification. This qualification may be used towards other qualifications at the same and higher level, plus aid career progression in a relevant profession.

Some possible routes of progression are:

  • Level 4 Award in Food Safety Management for Manufacturing (RQF).
  • Level 4 Award in HACCP Management for Food Manufacturing (RQF).

Entry Requirements

A maximum of 16 students can be accommodated on this course. Please note that students must be at least 16 years old on the first day of training.

Learners will need to have good food safety knowledge before completing this qualification. Therefore, it is recommended that Learners already hold the Level 3 Award in Food Safety Supervision for Manufacturing (RQF) or equivalent.

There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that Learners have a minimum of Level 2 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent.

Location

We are able to deliver our Supervising Food Safety in Catering course on your premises (subject to a pre-course assessment) to reduce the costs associated with taking time out and travelling. Alternatively, you can book onto our next available course at our Snetterton Training Facility.
