The Futurequals Level 3 Award in Patient Care Services: Ambulance Driving is an accredited, regulated and quality assured qualification that is recognised throughout the UK. This comprehensive 5-day course has been designed to provide an individual with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to drive a range of patient care ambulance vehicles safely and commensurate with patient comfort and vehicle empathy.
The Patient Care Services: Ambulance Driving course we deliver has a Total Qualification Time (TQT) requirement of 60 hours.
Vehicle daily inspections / Pre-driving checks / Compliance legislation / Driving regulations / Defensive driving & braking / Steering & bends / Transmission systems / Motorways and dual carriageways / Reversing and maneuvering / Vehicle safety systems / Overtaking / Adverse Conditions / Attitude / Navigation / Night driving.
Assessment & Certification
This qualification utilises a portfolio of evidence as the method of assessment.
Upon successful completion of this course, individuals will receive a Futurequals Level 3 Award in Patient Care Services: Ambulance Driving printed certificate.
A maximum of 3 students can be accommodated on this course. Please note that students must be at least 18 years old on the first day of training and must have a valid UK driving license.
We are able to deliver our Patient Care Services: Ambulance Driving training course on your premises (subject to a pre-course assessment) to reduce the costs associated with taking time out and travelling. Alternatively, you can book onto the next available course at our Snetterton Training Facility.
