We feel that we have a personal responsibility to involve ourselves with any opportunity that aims to better the circumstances of individuals and groups across the globe.

That is why we proudly sit alongside companies including Hapag-Lloyd, OMA Group, Yinson, Fendercare Marine and the University of Suffolk in supporting the Futurestars charity project in West Africa.

"Futurestars is an exciting education-through-sports programme that offers weekly sports coaching sessions, run by qualified coaches, to underprivileged children in Tema, Ghana, and Lomé, Togo. 4,000 children each week benefit from free coaching in football, netball, athletics and PE as well as the relevant sports kit and equipment and all five partner schools in Tema, report increased attendance and pupil engagement. Futurestars also funds a much-needed refurbishment programme at the five partner schools in Ghana." (Futurestars, 2018).

Our Director of Education and Training, William Allen, pictured above with Futurestars Ambassador Titus Bramble (left) and Futurestars Director Simon Milton (right), regularly visits the schools in Ghana and was heavily involved in the launch of the charity in 2018. Subsequently, we have pledged to continue supporting the Futurestars charity through the donation of first aid supplies and equipment to all partnered schools, delivery of first aid training to teaching staff and provision of clinical support to the annual Festival of Sport held in Tema.

As practicing healthcare professionals, we understand the devastating impact that anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD) can have on the lives of ex service personnel and their families.

That is why we are passionate about supporting Combat Stress; a charity which aims to give something back to those who have served their country.

"For almost a century, we've helped former servicemen and women deal with trauma-related mental health problems such as anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Today, we provide our life-changing treatment to veterans from every service and every conflict. On the phone and online. In the community and at our specialist centres. We know that invisible injuries can be just as hard to cope with as physical ones. Our services help veterans cope with the present, tackle the past and take on the future. Some may find using just one of our services will transform their lives, others may need more to start living again. But our expert team will be there to help every step of the way". (Combat Stress, 2018).
